Armenia leading by the number of those willing to leave the country forever-39%. Armenia has registered the highest number of those willing to quit the country by educational program among the CIS states, according to the sociological service Gallup for 2009.
Under statistical data, 39% of the respondents in Armenia are ready to leave their country to study abroad.
Armenia is followed by Moldova (30%), Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan (32%), Ukraine (20%), while neighbor Georgia (31%) and Azerbaijan (19%) are seventh and eighth in this list. Russia is six with 24%.
The high number of residents who are willing to study abroad is dictated by existence of the Armenian diaspora-one of the biggest in the world, according to Gallup experts.
On the whole, according to the sociological service for 2009, one of four residents from 12 countries of the former USSR who have come of age state readiness to leave the country for temporary or permanent job.
“The highest percentage of those willing to find temporary job abroad is registered in Moldova (53%), Armenia (44%), Belarus (35%), Kyrgyzstan (34%), Kazakhstan (30%), Ukraine (21%), Georgia and Azerbaijan (34%), Russia (22%)”, the statement reads.
According to Gallup, Armenia is also leading by the number of those willing to leave the country forever-39%, followed by Moldova (36%), Belarus (20%), Georgia (14%), Azerbaijan (12%), Russia (11%).
The lowest indicators in this direction are registered in Tajikistan (9%), Uzbekistan (6%) and Turkmenistan (5%).
