Armenians Search Ruins Of An "Ancient Armenian City" In the Occupied Lands of Azerbaijan

Armenians continue excavations in the occupied Aghdam region of Azerbaijan to search ruins of “ancient Armenian city”, named as Tigranakert. Archeologist Hamlet Petrosyan, head of the expedition, claimed that they found valuable things during the excavations, Armenian Today portal reported. The excavations began in 2005.

Armenians claim that Tigranakert was founded by Armenian tsar Tigran Great in 1st century BC in the territory of present Karabakh.
