Foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Davutoglu, Elmar Mammadyarov, Kanat Saudabayev and Ruslan Kazakbayev held an informal meeting in Bodrum.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu expressed his pleasure to meet with the foreign ministers of the Turkic-speaking countries in Bodrum. “The main reason of our being in Bodrum is to meet with our friends, brothers,” he said.

According to Davutoglu, the Secretariat of the Turkic World Council will be established in Istanbul this year. “When the secretariat is established there will be unity not only in religion, language and culture, but also in action, we will express unique position in all issues. We are sharing the same language, same religion. We are brotherly countries,” he said.

“Kazakhstan is chairing OSCE this year. This is not only Kazakhstan’s pride, but also our pride, the pride of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the pride and success of all countries having common culture. Their success is our success. Their problems are our problems. We feel strong as Azerbaijan is strengthening,” he said.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said they had discussed Nagorno Karabakh issue with Ahmet Davutoglu. “The condition of war continues between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Turkey has strong international confidence. Therefore, I believe Ahmet Davutoglu will make efficient efforts in the resolution of Karabakh problem,” he said.
