'Armenians, Azerbaijanis Want To Be Close To Each Other'

E-mail Print PDF

'This issue serious', Jigarkhanyan says. "Anyway, Armenians and Azerbaijanis want to be close to each other", said famous Armenian actor Armen Jigarkhanyan in the interview with Radio Liberty service in the Caucasus.

"But sometimes there occur things which seem elementary and common, but they still cause differences", he added.

The Russian president has recently spoke of possible formation of the Council of Men of Wisdom to be dealing with problems in the South Caucasus. However, while answering the question about the effective work of such structures, Armen Jigarkhanyan said: "We are still immature for such councils, for these men of wisdom to come and find solution to the issue".

Armen Jigarkhanyan considers this issue serious and believes that it would not be easy to settle it. According to the actor, everything in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict depends on the circumstance and the way it is settled.
