Congressman Steve Israel reiterated support to the issues that concern Armenian diaspora in United States in a meeting held by Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), one of the major Armenian diaspora organizations in United States.
Meeting with the representatives of ANCA Eastern Region in New York, Israel stated that they have discussed a number of issues including recognition of so called Armenian genocide by United States, US foreign aid to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh and the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict.
Welcoming the “staunch” support of Congressman Israel to Armenian lobby, ANCA Eastern Region executive director Garo Manjikian said that Israel has co-sponsored so called Armenian genocide resolutions in the US Congress in the last four sessions and played a large role in increasing US foreign aid to Armenia and seperatist Nagorno-Karabakh.
