The union of Turkish tourism companies will invite Armenia to participate in the tourism exhibition in Van following the service conducted at Armenian church on Akhtamar Island.
The Turkish Tourism Ministry and the union of tourism companies plan to present reopening of the church for religious ceremonies as a PR move.
A number of states, including Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Armenia and others are invited to Van, Aksam reported. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism attaches major significance to Van province and plans to increase the number of tourists up to 1 million.
