Nalbandian, Semneby Discuss Karabakh

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Peter Semneby.

During the meeting Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Semneby discussed issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.

The parties stressed that the Armenia-EU cooperation is developing dynamically. Edward Nalbandian underlined that the start of the talks on the Association Agreement gave new impetus to the Armenia-EU relations.

According to Minister Nalbandian, the negotiations between Yerevan and Brussels through a space-bridge on September 24 and 27 were very productive and important ahead of the second stage of the talks to take place in Brussels on October 12.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and the EU Special Representative referred to the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership countries in Brussels and the issues the Armenia-EU Cooperation Council will discuss on December 23.

Edward Nalbandian presented the latest developments in the process of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh issue. The interlocutors touched upon a number of other regional issues.
