Switzerland Discusses Turkish-Armenian Protocols

E-mail Print PDF

Switzerland, which undertook mediation mission in relations between Armenia and Turkey, held telephone talks with both sides, Hurriyet newspaper's website reports.

The talks aimed at discussing the situation on the frozen protocol on establishing diplomatic relations between Yerevan and Ankara, signed last October in Zurich, Switzerland.

Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers Ahmet Davutoglu and Edward Nalbandian signed the protocols in Zurich Oct. 10.

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey have been severed due to Armenia's claims of an alleged genocide and its occupation of Azerbaijani lands.
