The Armenian authorities have demonstrated the anti-missile complex S-300 to members of the joint consultative group of the United States and Great Britain on reviewing defense strategy of Armenia.
According to Aykakan Zhamanak, US and British experts studied the missile complexes S-300 and Earth-Earth on the place of location. Such a step has caused the resentment of Moscow, whose diplomatic circles demanded explanations from the Armenian side.
According to the diplomatic sources of the newspaper, Russian side intends to assess this step of the Armenian side as a challenge in case of the absence of grounded explanations.
This group has been visiting Yerevan for already few days and on October 2 the group members met with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. During the meeting the sides discussed issued related to the work and further actions of the review of the defense strategy at the current stage.
