Turkish classical violinist Cihat Askin and Armenian operatic singer Kevork Tavitian are set to take to stage in a Carnegie Hall performance on Thursday in a project of renowned pianist Sahan Arzruni of Armenian descent.
Askin and Tavitian will recite works by famous Turkish and Armenian composers such as Adnan Saygun, Yuksel Koptagel, Ferid Alnar, Ilhan Baran Komitas, Alan Hovhaness, Sirvart Karamanuk ve Aram Khachaturian and they will be accompanied by Arzruni as well.
The concert is sponsored by the Turkish Consulate General in New York.
