Nalbandian: Turkey, Armenia Do Not Hold Talks To Establish Relations

E-mail Print PDF

Armenia and Turkey did not held any talks on establishment of bilateral relations within recent months, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said, speaking at the National Assembly.

He once again recalled Yerevan’s stance, noting that Armenia is ready to establish ties with Ankara if Turkey is ready to do it without laying down preconditions. Commenting on information that during the meeting with Armenian Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, Swiss FM Micheline Calmy-Rey allegedly stated that Bern is working on restoration of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue, Nalbandian said, “One of the Armenian newspapers contacted Swiss Foreign Ministry to clarify the information, but they said that Micheline Calmy-Rey had not made such statement.”
