E-mail Print PDF

An Armenian criminal grouping led by Armenian pander who made Armenian and Georgian citizens go for prostitution has been arrested in Turkey.

According to Turkish Milliyet, in the result of the measures taken by the Turkish law enforcement bodies, 18 people including 15 women of Armenian and Georgian origin were arrested in Trabzon.

Their pander, Goar Kirakosyan from Armenia, and a policeman have been arrested, as well.

According to the newspaper, 10 months ago the Turkish police received information that women, who were forced to undertake prostitution, were illegally brought to Turkey from Armenia and Georgia.

Within this period the police watched the actions of the grouping and 18 people were brought to the police from three hotels, 6 cafes and 8 houses on October 14.

The gang head-48-year-old Goar Kirakosyan, who married a Turk and became a Turkish citizen, is on Armenia’s wanted list for accusations of trafficking.

In addition, it was also revealed that a part of the arrested women came to Turkey illegally. The grouping members acted quite carefully, using codes. For example, the word ‘prostitution’ was replaced with ‘to drink tea’ and the word ‘prostitute’ with the word ‘a bag’ and so on.

All of them were brought to court where according to the verdict, foreign women will be deported from Turkey.
