Members of the association "Fighting unfounded Armenian claims" have launched hunger strike against the occupational policy of Armenia towards Azerbaijan in Turkey's Igdir.
Turkish mass media reported that the action is held in the center of Igdir at Tansu Chiller street.
Head of the public association Geksal Gulbey told reporters that the aim of the two-day hunger strike is to urge the world community and the OSCE Minsk Group to intensity in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
"For some reason, in all other corners of the world, the OSCE, NATO, EU and other organizations take more active decisions in the settlement of problems. Meanwhile, as for Nagorno Karabakh conflict, we see the passiveness of international organizations", Gulbey said.
We again urge the OSCE Minsk Group to take effective measures to stop occupation of Azerbaijani lands. How can the country declaring principles of democracy and human rights protection calmly watch the suffering of a million of Azerbaijani refugees. Why are they looking calmly at this injustice?", member of the association Ismet Tagal said.
