U.S. Still Interested In Turkish-Armenian Reconciliation

E-mail Print PDF

U.S. remains committed to the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation and is waiting for more propitious time to return to this process, U.S. Assistant Secretary Philip Crowley said speaking at the Johns Hopkins University.

Washington wants both countries to ratify the protocols, he added, expressing regret that it had not happened so far. However, the protocols still exist and they are signed, Crowley added. He also recalled that U.S. efforts to normalize the Armenian-Turkish relations were in parallel with Washington’s aspiration to settle “the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations on Karabakh”.
