Director of Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies (TASAM) Suleyman Sensoy stated that Armenian diaspora is getting prepared for the 100th anniversary of 1915 incidents. “Armenian diaspora is in large scale preparations for achieving certain results. Within these circumstances, i believe that the efforts of Turkish diaspora will be very significant. Because it is limited what an official state can do against a civilian diaspora,” said he.

Stressing that issue of 1915 incidents create problems for Turkey and Azerbaijan, Sensoy said, “Armenian diaspora aims to achieve certain results in 2015, on the 100th anniversary of 1915 incidents." Reminding that World Turkic Forum also aims to attract attention on the criticality of the year 2015 and on the importance of the efforts of Turkish diaspora, Sensoy said that Forum will also contribute institutionalization of this process.

Calling Turkish diaspora to establish dialogue with Armenian diaspora, Sensoy said, “Because there will not be meetings between two states. On the other hand, NGO’s may meet. They can organize dinners, panels, conferences and therefore they can develop bilateral relations. Therefore, the required occasion will be created to discuss problems.”
