Bill on recognition of Karabakh independence to be submitted to Armenian parliament this week.

The bill of the opposition Heritage faction on recognition of independence of 'NKR' "will be presented to a vote of the Armenian parliament on this four-day (25-28 October), National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan told Monday.

The bill stipulates that Armenia recognizes the independence of Karabakh at the legislative level, and the adoption of this document will form the basis for the regulation of all matters arising from the recognition, including security issues.
"During the four-day, the bill will be put to a vote", promised Abrahamian, suggesting the coalition partners to discuss approaches to the vote on the matter.

The bill of  the opposition Heritage faction has caused mixed feelings in parliament. Thus, virtually all Armenian factions supported the recognition of Karabakh's independence, but all of them in one form or another did not agree with the proposed "Heritage" faction approaches.

Almost all the MPs were unanimous in their opinion that there are no Armenians, who would not support the recognition of Karabakh independence by Armenia. However, they think it is too early to raise this issue.

Representatives of the faction of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation said that the faction is ready to vote for the bill, although it considers it premature.
