The detachments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) must be armed with the most modern weaponry, including samples with no lethal outcome, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha has said, reported by Russian news website Dni.ru.
Member states to CSTO include Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Georgia and Azerbaijan withdrew from the organization in 1999.
The statement comes after the first phase of military games "Interaction-2010" ended in Chelyabinsk on Monday attended by CSTO's Collective Prompt Response Forces.
Mr Bordyuzha also said that selected detachments of the CSTO member states have attended the war games.
