Iranian side expressed concern over the progress in Karabakh peace process.

In an interview with Azg newspaper, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki branded the current stage in Armenian-Iran relations “historic and valuable”.

According to him, Iran-Armenian relations have significantly developed and risen to a high level within the recent years. “The bilateral ties expand mainly in economic, political and cultural spheres. The evidence thereof is Armenian delegation’s 2-day official visit to Iran, headed by Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan. There were many ministers among the delegation, who held meetings with their Iranian counterparts and concluded important agreements,” Mottaki stressed.

“At the meeting with Armenian Premier, the Iranian side expressed concern over the progress in Karabakh peace process and again put forward a proposal to act as a mediator between Armenia and Azerbaijan for peaceful resolution to the conflict at the negotiating table,” Iranian Minister emphasized.
