United States will not play “Armenian Genocide” card to force Turkey to deploy US anti-missile defense elements on its territory, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu.
According to the report of Tert.am, Davutoglu said, "Nothing of the kind is possible. A country which is our friend and ally never did and will use the issue as a card against us”.
Earlier Turkish Hurriyet Daily News reported that the United States has through its diplomatic sources sent a message to Turkey, saying that the Congress will adopt a resolution recognizing so called Armenian genocide if Turkey refuses to deploy NATO anti-missile system on its territory.
