According to Elmar Mammadyarov, the OSCE summit may become a turning point in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

1news.az reports with reference to Zaman that Azerbaijan's FM Elmar Mammadyarov said during the meeting with journalists in Istanbul that the OSCE summit to be held in Astana may become a turning point in the process on the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

"We have held detailed discussions of the Karabakh conflict settlement in Astrakhan. The presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia have set instructions to the foreign ministers to hold a new meeting to discuss the settlement details. We are currently working at this meeting and only after it we will be able to say something related to positions of the sides", Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov said.

He noted that the summit in Astana may become a turning point in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict and all the same he did not rule out the preparation of the roadmap on the settlement of the situation in the South Caucasus region.

As for renaming Agdam, Mammadyarov said this is ridiculous.

"All these actions show that there are radical powers in Armenia which do not want the conflict to be settlement. These powers will not attain anything by renaming the occupied Azerbaijani cities", he said.
