Turkey Not To Open Borders With Armenia, AKP Deputy Chair

E-mail Print PDF

'Turkey has repeatedly declared that it will not open borders with Armenia until Azerbaijani lands are liberated.

We remain our position', said Deputy Chairman of Turkish Justice and Development Party (AKP) Haluk Ipek.

Ipak noted that though these statements, a group of media and journalists tried to commit provocations:

'And it is a propaganda directed to decrease love and attention of Azerbaijani nation toward Turkey. We have closed the borders because Armenia had occupied 20% of Azerbaijani lands. The occupation is still continued. As long as occupation is continued, the borders will not be opened'.

AKP official said that official Ankara always wanted maintenance of peace and tranquility in the Caucasus region: 'For joining the development in the region, first Armenia must get away from unjust situation. Turkey says it to the whole world: an unjust state is not rewarded. You will occupy territory of one country and then the whole world will establish good relations with you. Turkey believes it is wrong'.
