E-mail Print PDF

“It’s impossible to keep the frozen problem as it”, Turkish President Abdulla Gul told in Oxford University Islamic Research Center, APA reported quoting Turkey newspaper.

He shown incidents in Georgia as an example: “All problems in Caucasus are in favor of all. Current de-facto situation is acceptable for no one. There are some problems in the issues of Azerbaijan-Armenia, Turkey-Armenia and Georgia and they need dialog to solve this problem. There are efforts on this and these efforts become intensify in past 1-2 years.”

Gul stated that, in the first, it was impossible to see Nagorno Karabagh as not occupied: “Even though, there are discussions on Nagorno Karabagh it’s know for all that Azerbaijan’s 7 regions are occupied, UN also states that these lands were occupied. Even, Armenia also knows that the lands around Nagorno Karabagh don’t concern it and expresses this”.

He also informed about the problems between Turkey and Armenia: “Even though, Turkey is one of the countries recognizing the independent of Armenia, these problems remain. We’re seriously trying to solve these problems for 1-2 years and will try. Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey have serious activities. It’s necessary to operate in Caucasus persistently to restore the stability and peace and we do that”.
