Germany-based Azerbaijani blogger Habib Abdullayev, also known as Hebib Muntezir, has been fined for his remarks about Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Azerbaijani website News.Az reported.

Abdullayev, who blogs at muntezir.net, wrote "Sargsyan is a murderer, Sargsyan is a terrorist" and posted documents to prove the claim on Facebook.

He has to pay a fine of EURO 900 to the German treasury or face prison.

His case was heard in Berlin.

Abdullayev was earlier arrested by German police on 23 June for chanting that Sargsyan was a terrorist and a murderer at a protest in Berlin.
