Nothing Can Impact On Friendship Between Turkey, Azerbaijan

Abdullah Gul comments on Wikileaks documents.

“Nothing can impact on friendship between Turkey and Azerbaijan. We are different states of the same nation.

I think the points expressed so far have certain purposes”, said Turkish President Abdullah Gul whilst answering the question on points related to Turkey and Azerbaijan published on Wikileaks website.

Answering questions of journalists at the airport while leaving for OSCE’s Astana summit, Gul said that these correspondences were the thoughts reflecting private opinions about events happened in those countries where American diplomats work, as well as about some people: “Some of them may be true, and some may be wrong. This issue should be understood in such a way”.

Gul added that written words about his relations with Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan could not overshadow these ties and current situation. To him, the leak in archives first of all must worry the owner of such archives.
