Medvedev 'Blackmailed' Aliyev Over Karabakh: Ukrainskaya Pravda

E-mail Print PDF

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has allegedly used the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a means of blackmail against Azerbaijan, Ukrainian daily Ukrainskaya Pravda reports, referring to documents made public by WikiLeaks.

"[Azerbaijani President] Ilham Aliyev received a document saying that should Azerbaijan recognize the Holodomor as Genocide in United Nations, it can then forget about Nagorno Karabakh forever," writes the paper.

Further it says that Ilham Aliyev has told Great Britain's Prince Andrew about it in person. The latter confirmed the fact that the leaders of other states too had received letters with similar content.
