Unlike Armenia, whose two presidents have already proposed fascist thesis about the genetic incompatibility of Azerbaijanis and Armenians, in our country no one has ever made such inhumane statements', rector of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, representative of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh Farhad Badalbeyli told in the interview.
According to the rector, this is despite the continued occupation of Azerbaijani lands, despite the genocide of Azerbaijani civilians in Khojaly.
'Now we state the readiness to build normal, good neighbor relations with Armenia, after the territories of our country. Naturally, on the first stage we will need the help of the peacekeepers, since naturally the Azerbaijani population of Nagorno Karabakh will naturally return home armless, while Armenians of Nagrono Karabakh have arms, army and police.
Therefore, there will be the need for the peacekeepers to protect the peaceful Azerbaijani civilians after their return to Karabakh. I think the relations between our peoples have all chances to normalize with passing time, since history is filled with the examples of the current cooperation and good neighboring of peoples, which had numerous, long lasting conflicts in their history'.
