A conscript committed suicide after just one day of military service, according to Armenian newspaper Haikakan Zhamanak.
The incident happened a few days ago, ARMENIA Today reported Haikakan Zhamanak as saying.
The conscript threw himself from a window at a military unit in Lusakert, as he did not want to do military service.
Armenian Defence Ministry spokesman David Karapetyan neither confirmed nor denied the report, but promised to make a statement for the press.
Human rights organization the Helsinki Assembly in the town of Vanadzor said last week that 37 Armenian soldiers and officers had died in the past year in non-combat situations.
