The statement over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict adopted at the OSCE Summit in Astana has raised uncertainty among opposition representatives.
Talking to Tert.am representative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Vladimir Karapetyan said he was surprised how Armenia could have agreed to a statement which makes reference to what he called "a dangerous document."
"How could they have possibly agreed to adopting a statement that makes reference to a dangerous document that includes a provision of 'returning occupied territories', [meaning the statement adopted in Muskoka, Canada]," said Karapetyan.
Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, together with their Russian counterpart Dmitriy Medvedev, as well as US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and Prime Minister of France, Francois Fillon, signed a statement and agreed "that the time has come for more decisive efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."
