Azerbaijan does not want the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, considers deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan.
In particular, he said this is proven by the statements of Baku, which are unacceptable for the Armenian party. “There cannot be unilateral concessions. Compromises are possible, but unilateral concessions are not”, Kocharyan told in the interview to the Public Television of Armenia.
He stressed that the inadmissibility of the military way of solving the problems was declared by the summit participants in Astana, in particular, Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev declared this in open. Moreover, according to Kocharyan, the Armenian side stress the readiness to respond to the adventures.
“This means the military solution is ruled out”, the deputy foreign minister said. Consequently, according to him, it (the Azerbaijani side) does not need the resolution of the problem, since the unsettled conflict is an ideological nourishment of the hereditary regime and there have no other ideological ground.
In particular, according to the deputy minister, both the joint statement and separate speeches of the Minsk Group co-chairing states stressed the inadmissibility of the selective choice of only one of the basic principles of international law and the possible use of force was out of the question. In addition, according to Kocharyan, UN Secretary General Ban Gui Moon urged to strengthen the ceasefire regime and withdraw snipers from the contact line.
“This is another attempt of the world community to transfer Azerbaijan from destructive to a constructive field”, Kocharyan said.
