Results Of OSCE Summit Show 'Lack' Of Prospects In Negotiations With Armenia

E-mail Print PDF

The OSCE summit in Astana has not given any results in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

'The ineffective outcome of the OSCE summit in Astana, the lack of any progress in settling the Nagorno Karabakh problem and serious documents once again confirm the fact that the hopes of Azerbaijan for international organizations were senseless', according to a statement of the Azerbaijani non-governmental Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO).

The statement also notes that once again the heads of the OSCE Minsk Group just called for a peaceful solution. 'This leads in turn to preservation of the status quo of the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh,  that is the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan spoke again in Astana with cynical statements, threatening to recognize Nagorno Karabakh's independence', the statement said.

In this regard, KLO calls on the Azerbaijani diplomacy to hold the correct estimate of the current situation and make the appropriate conclusions seriously.

'We must abandon the negotiations within the Minsk Group. Such talks serve only the interests of Armenia and ensure preservation of the occupation regime of our lands', the KLO reports.

The organization urged to cease negotiations and begin a military operation to liberate the occupied lands.
