“Certain discussions were held, important statements made at the Astana summit of OSCE, these statements had also been made earlier. But we do not need statements, we need the release of our territories,” deputy chairman of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Ali Ahmadov told journalists, APA reports.

According to Ali Ahmadov, sharp words and steps of the international community, organizations, first of all OSCE Minsk Group, which assumed the responsibility for the resolution of the conflict, are important for the release of the territories.
“There can be various summits and decisions. But Azerbaijan will admit the decision, which will turn the process of resolution of the conflict into reality. If these negotiations do not produce results, then they are of no importance. The decision will be important when the territories are released and refugees return,” he said.

Ali Ahmadov said Azerbaijani citizens suffer from the protraction of the peace talks.

“Azerbaijani citizens are not satisfied with the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, which has assumed the responsibility for the resolution of this conflict. President Ilham Aliyev stated that as long as the peace talks do not produce necessary results, Azerbaijani people preserve the right to take back the territories. It will be the President who will express this will. Azerbaijan supports peaceful solution to the conflict. Otherwise, Azerbaijan would not have attended the process of negotiations again. If the negotiations do not produce results, we will be obliged to take necessary steps,” he said.
