The Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh has released a statement.

The Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh has released a statement over the illegal visit of European parliament rapporteur on Armenia, Polish deputy Tomasz Poreba to the occupied lands of Azerbaijan

The statement reads that all documents adopted by international organizations, as UN, OSCE, Council of Europe, OIC, European Parliament on Karabakh conflict settlement, confirm the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. It is also stated that the conflict must be settled on the basis of international law.

Despite the support to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by international organizations, including the European parliament, its member Tomasz Poreba, in violation of the territorial integrity of the country, paid a visit from Armenia to Nagorno Karabakh without coordinating it with the Azerbaijani side and met representatives of the separatist regime without having any power to do so.

The statement notes that the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh protests this and assesses this not only as violation of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan but also the lack of respect towards the principles of international law.
