Turkish FM: Turkish-Armenian Relations Depends On Progress In The Nagrno Karabakh Settlement

E-mail Print PDF

The normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations depends on progress in the settlement of the Nagrorno Karabakh conflict, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on an interview by TRT-1 channel.

Turkish FM said that Turkey supports the establishment of stable relations with Armenia. But this requires to achieve progress in resolving conflicts in the region.

Speaking about the Armenian lobby’s attempt to bring to the agenda for the Lower House of Congress Resolution on "Armenian genocide" Davutoglu noted that blackmailing Turkey on this issue is unacceptable.

“Those who raise the issue of genocide in the Congress have no information about the events of 1915”, - Davutoglu said.

According to him, these actions of U.S. congressmen have a negative impact on prospects for recovery of the Armenian-Turkish relations.
