Head of the separatist Nagorno Karabakh regime Bako Sahakyan said in one of his interviews that they are ready to repulse any attack of the potential enemy, to start military operations anytime.

Answering APA’s question about it spokesman for Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu said: “Armenia’s ruling circles are supposedly backing these threats. Therefore, under this order Bako Sahakyan has begun to speak often,” he said.

Eldar Sabiroglu considers that Armenia’s aim is to avoid the international pressure, draw to the attention that the so-called regime is waging war with Azerbaijan.

“Armenia wants to demonstrate to the world that the epicenter of the earthquake is in Nagorno Karabakh. This “sagacity” is based on Armenia’s traditional slyness. It is no secret which country started the war. One must not hide it. Actually, Armenia could not have done it on its own. The entire world knows the source of the assistance due to which the enemy gained temporary results. The so-called leader insists that they are fighting themselves. He can only deceive himself with this. The people from Karabakh are not fighting, even if they are fighting, there are very few of them. There are almost no local people there. A question arises. What makes the citizens of Armenia serve in Nagorno Karabakh? I want to draw attention to the incident that happened in the middle of last year. Armenians’ losses and confusion as a result of the strong resistance have not been still forgotten. 99 percent of those who were killed and wounded in the battle were citizens of Armenia. What were they doing there?”

Lieutenant-Colonel advises the enemy not to rely on itself too much.

“Now the enemy is helpless in front of the Azerbaijani Army. They know it themselves very well. They simply are accustomed to threaten. The military operations, which will be launched, will differ much from the previous ones. Azerbaijani Armed Forces has power which even the enemy can not imagine. We are able to hit any target. Armenia must not rely on the fair wind which was in the first war. Azerbaijan has not lost trust in the efforts of the international mediators to solve the conflict peacefully within the framework of our country’s territorial integrity. But there is a limit to everything,” he said.
