Diplomat and International Canada has published an article.

Diplomat and International Canada has published an article by the dean of the School of International Relations at Carleton University (Ottawa), Norman Patterson, entitled "Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia: East vs. West."

According to the Azerbaijani embassy in Canada, the article speaks of the successful development of the oil-rich Azerbaijan.

Despite the fact that Azerbaijan has the Muslim-majority population, this country is one of the most moderate Muslim countries in the world, the article says.

The author of the article says the booming oil exports in Azerbaijan have contributed to growth in construction, banking and transport. The author also points out that the Armenian diaspora is an obstacle to the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh dispute.
