Armenian-Turkish football diplomacy’s potential is exhausted, Alexander Arzumanyan, former Armenian FM and member of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), said at today’s press conference. Arzumanyan noted that he was one of the founders of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation committee.

“I think we should establish normal trade, economic and diplomatic relations,” he said. According to him, Armenian-Turkish protocols were documents forced by external forces. Studying the documents, diplomat will understand that they were written in Washington.

“The sides should negotiate and begin from the ground up. We should put aside the protocols and think of new talks,” he concluded.
