Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Selchuk Unal replied a question on the Papoulias statement that targeted Turkey.
Foreign Ministry reacted against a Greek president Papoulias statement targeting Turkey which he made during a visit by Armenian President Sargsyan.
Foreign Ministry said, “These are claims full of distorted historical facts, and devoid of common sense and ill matched with the credibility of the authority they are holding now.”
Foreign Ministry spokesman Selchuk Unal replied a question on the Papoulias statement that targeted Turkey.
Recalling the dense efforts shown in finding a new impetus in the Turkish-Greek relations, Unal said, “It is quite reasonable to expect the responsible bodies to not make statements harming the current peace environment.” Unal said, “We strongly advise those who made such statements to make a serious assessment of our common near history.”
