Municipalities of the Azerbaijani city of Sumgayit and the Turkish area in the north of Ankara Kechioren became twinned. The relevant protocol was signed by the heads of municipalities of Sumgait and Kechioren Abulfaz Babayev and Mustafa Ak, the Hurriyyet newspaper reported.
According to the protocol, a monument to the victims of the Khojaly tragedy will be erected on one of the squares in Ankara.
