Pashayeva: Turkic Diasporas Must Work Together

"The Turkic world has great potential to influence the world politics," Azerbaijani MP, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science Ganira Pashayeva said in an interview with the Turkish newspaper Aydinlik this week.

The interview, taken by employee of the newspaper Sevim Erol, was published under two headings, "Turkic diasporas must work together," and, "Now it is time to write a book about the common history."

Responding to the journalist's questions, Pashayeva noted the potential of the Turkic world to influence the world politics. Corresponding to this potential, she talked about the challenges faced by every Turk, Turkic state and community. She shared her thoughts on this occasion.

Pashayeva touched upon the collapse of the Soviet Union and the recent past of the Turkic world. She spoke about the urgent problems, particularly the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, the consequences of the occupation, Khojaly genocide, and the living conditions of refugees. She also touched upon the facts of vandalism and genocide committed by Armenia in the occupied Azerbaijani lands.

Pashayeva shared her thoughts about what an Azerbaijani awaits in the Turkic world. She touched upon the contribution that Azerbaijan is making in a Turkic unity. She mentioned some facts. She spoke of the tasks necessary to be fulfilled and to achieve a happy future.
