Armenia has not changed its position in the Karabakh settlement.

"There are no changes in the position of our country on this issue", Armenia's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Russia Oleg Yesayan told during the meeting with the Armenian organizations of Moscow, held at the initiative of the Forum of Armenian organizations of Moscow.

According to the information center of the newspaper of Russian Armenians Yerkramas, the ambassador recalled that one of the Madrid principles, taken as a basis in the negotiations with Azerbaijan, states the right of nations for self-determination. "Both sides agreed", Yesayan said  "Armenia is interested in the resolution of this conflict, with one of the mandatory provisions being the obligatory participation of the Nagorno Karabakh party".

"People's consolidation necessary to settle any task facing a separate state. Anti-Armenian sentiments became such a uniting national idea for Azerbaijan, Yesayan said. "We must clarify our position, strengthen our unification", the ambassador says. All the same, he believes that the matter is not about confrontation, 'especially about shifting this confrontation to Russia".

"We all need powerful, flourishing, strong Armenia. Wherever we live, we must sleep with our face to the country. This is the task of every, separate Armenian".
