“We together have to work harder for the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, president of the Armenian Local and Self-Administration Association, head of the Armenia’s delegation to the Council of Europe Congress of Local and Regional Authorities Emin Yeritsyan told journalists during his visit to Azerbaijan, APA reported.

“Azerbaijani and Armenian non-governmental organizations have to be more active. The joint work can create better atmosphere and dialogue for the solution to the conflict. There is a dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. Therefore the role of Azerbaijani and Armenian NGOs and local self-determination organizations is very important. Just they can create such dialogue that will move the process of negotiations in the necessary direction”.

Answering the question “could Azerbaijan and Armenia be involved in a war again?” Yeritsyan said: “I consider it is unreal that the war will begin again. There is no such situation now. I think the war will not be repeated”.

The Armenian representative has also answered the question about the internally displaced persons from the occupied regions of Azerbaijan and their return to homeland: “I think the issue of internally displaced persons and their return to homeland is one of the most important points of the negotiation process. There are many refugees in Armenia too”.

Answering the question about the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia, Yeritsyan said Armenia had own position on this issue.
