Extraordinary Speech On Khojaly Genocide To Be Made At Turkish Parliament

Demonstration to be held outside Turkish parliament on occasion of the tragedy’s anniversary.

Speaker of the Turkish parliament Mehmet Ali Shahin and Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagurov discussed the development of the interparliamentary relations between the two countries, spokesman for Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey Elsever Salmanov told. Salmanov said the events on Khojaly genocide had also been discussed at the meeting.

“As you know, our embassy has prepared a plan of events on the anniversary of Khojaly tragedy. Agreement was reached on the participation of the Turkish parliamentarians in these events,” he said.

Salmanov said an extraordinary speech would be made at the meeting of the Turkish parliament on February 25. Head of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, parliamentarian from AKP Mustafa Kabakci will make a speech at the parliament and speak about the Khojaly genocide committed by Armenians.

Elsever Salmanov said a mourning demonstration would be held outside the Turkish parliament.
