Unsolved Armenian-Azerbaijani Conflict Affects Caucasian Security

The possible shift of the conflict from the neighbor countries is a threat to the national security of Georgia.

The Georgian authorities consider possible transfer of conflicts from neighbor countries to Georgia to be a serious threat, facing the national security of the country.

The draft document of the national security says that the conflicts in the North Caucasus of Russia, ethnic and religious confrontation, as well as unsettled Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict affect the security of the whole Caucasus

The draft document says that due to the lack of control at the sections of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region of the Georgian state border with Russia, favorable environment is created for development of transnational crime.

The draft concept of national security will today by considered by parliamentary committees.
