Ottoman Empire Had 29 Armenian Pashas, 22 Ministers

Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a campaign to counterattack Armenian lobby activities towards the recognition of Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents.

Armenia based Tert.am reported refering Turkish “Star” daily that Turkish Foreign Ministry prepared a report titled “events of 1915”. Events of 1915 were called “unfortunate events” in the report.

The report focuses senior Armenian officials during the Ottoman Empire, including 29 pashas (Turkish officer of high rank), 22 Armenian Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Finance. Another number of Armenians chaired agricultural and economic state offices. After 1876 Ottoman Mejlis had 33 Armenian deputies. Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed 7 Armenian Ambassadors and 11 Consuls. And 11 Armenian professors taught in education field.
