A film telling the story of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through the eyes of an eight-year old boy premieres in Baku on Monday.
"Refugee:Life Story of Anar Usubov" will be shown at the Young Spectators' Theatre at 17.00 on 21 February.
The film's Turkish producer and director, Dr Cem Oguz, and Azerbaijan's culture minister, Abulfas Garayev, are to speak at the screening.
The action in Refugee begins during the collapse of the Soviet Union and chronicles the tragedies of the war and its aftermath.
Anar is a child from the town of Khojaly, where during the night of 25-26 February 1992, 613 Azerbaijani civilians were massacred in an attack by Armenian forces, backed by an ex-Soviet regiment. Most of the victims perished as they fled the town. One thousand civilians suffered permanent injuries at Khojaly, and 1,275 civilians were taken prisoner. The fate of 150 remains unknown.
Refugee will receive its US premiere at Washington's Avalon Theatre at 7.45 on 24 February. at the Avalon Theatre. There will be a discussion afterwards with director Cem Oguz.
