Steinberg welcomes the fact of Russia's joining the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict.
There is no rivalry among the parties to the OSCE MG, especially that they make their contribution, US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg said on the results of his visit to Armenia.
He also added that the meetings and talks were held under the support of the OSCE MG co-chairmen, and in general all the three co-chair states came to a single view. He said he welcomes the fact of Russia's joining the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict and added all the three OSCE MG countries have been actively working over the issue.
He is sure that the decision on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement may be found through the talks and if to take the Helsinki principles like a basis more stable future for the countries of the region may be found.
The purpose of their work is not to impose any decision upon the parties to the conflict but to help them find it, he said.
