E-mail Print PDF

President Obama is to make decisions concerning US policy on the “Armenian genocide”, said US Ambassador to Armenia, replying to a question when Obama will fulfill his campaign pledge and recognize Armenian allegations on 1915 incidents in Ottoman Empire.

Addressing the students of the Yerevan State University, Marie Yovanovitch stressed the president makes decisions and determines US policy, therefore he will decide on the issue. Noting that all are aware of president’s stance, she added Obama would decide what he would say.

According to the report of News.am, Ambassador Yovanovitch also noted the US embassy will mark 'genocide' Remembrance Day together with Armenian people.
