Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian addressed on Thursday the delegates of the OSCE Permanent Council held in Vienna.
In his speech Minister Nalbandian touched upon the issues included in the OSCE agenda, reforms carried out in Armenia, EU-Armenia relations, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, foreign office informed.
The Foreign Minister noted Armenia is ready to actively participate in all OSCE formats.
He noted that OSCE Minsk Group remains the only internationally mandated format for negotiations on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and expressed his hope for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Speaking about Armenia’s state building, Nalbandian stressed the efforts of Armenia to ensure the sustainability of its progress in building modern society based on the rule of law and respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms, including in the field of the media and fight against corruption, says the statement on OSCE website. He stressed the Armenian authorities are committed to their efforts to strengthen democracy-building in the country.
