On the first day of the visit, Sahakyan attended a church mass at the St. Hovhannes Mkrtich Armenian church. There, he had a meeting with the prelate of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) in France, Archbishop Norvan Zakaryan.

The parties discussed the Armenia-Diaspora relations, as well as a broad framework of issues related to the domestic and foreign policies of Karabakh.

Sahakyan praised the Armenian Church for its role in preserving the Armenian national identity in Diaspora.

On the same day, Sahakyan met with the board members of "Satar Kharabakhi" (Support to Karabakh) union. Possibilities of developing collaboration were discussed at the meeting.

Sahakyan hailed Diaspora organizations' active involvement in the development of Karabakh, stressing its importance in terms of promoting and strengthening a dialogue between the Armenian communities worldwide.
