Due to recent heavy snowfall, dangerous situation occured in Guba burial ground – the only proof of genocide of Armenians against Azerbaijanis in 1918, senior fellow of the Archeology and Ethnography Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Gahraman Agayev said.
Aghayev said there was too much humidity in the burial ground, which creates dangerous situation for the well close to the territory and full of bones.
"It decomposes the bones. We try to do everything possible to prevent it. We clean snow and dry humid land to prevent dampness", said the archeologist and added that they would begin construction work after the Nowruz Holiday when the weather becomes warmer.
Guba burial ground was found four years ago – on April 1, 2007.
